Hubby-approved!

After many attempts, I finally captured an image of hubby in the Dr. Who Scarf of which he approves! The photo was taken at the top of Mt. Tolmie on the afternoon January 2nd. The long coat he is wearing to complete the "look" is also something I found for him (thrifting, natch).

Clicky-clicky for a peek at the photo.

Hey, what a huge project, Cheryl! How long did it take you to knit that? (I'm a knitter myself, you see, but a not-terribly-patient one) I'm on my 8th attempt at a sock - what the hell does "turn" mean in a pattern, anyway? :/

Suzette: I started the scarf early summer, hoping to have it done for our anniversary in October.... but it was a huge project (the finished scarf is actually about 3/4 of the official Dr. Who pattern length -- but it was clear that the thing was long enough!). The easy part was that it was all straight knit stitch. Back and forth 40 stitches per row on size 8 needles. I don't do socks or gloves. In fact you're looking at the first project I've ever finished. My next project is a blanked for the kid's bed. Hoping to have it done by March. EEp!

Nine: thanks, and I think he's cute too. :)

How cool!

I sometimes wish that I had learned to knit or crochet. It's not from a lack of trying. I have knitting needles and crochet hooks and bales of yarn. No finished project to speak of. I don't have the patience.
