damned earworms.

Thanks to the kiddo and her request for "something that's not news" this morning, I just realized I was singing the new Blue's Clues tv theme (the one with Joe, not the classic one with Steve). GAH!

So I plugged into my Psyc and am now listening to some 80s tunes (currently the Style Council). Ahhhhh.

Ooh, Style Council! I'm trying to think of the album of their's I played to death... Cafe Bleu. Fabulous. I've been meaning to track it down on CD for years, so maybe your post is A Sign. Thanks for reminding me.

Fortunately I rather enjoy The Wiggles, so their catchy tunes are very useful to me as earworm removers. I like to have a stash of catchy-but-enjoyable tunes to sing over the top of infuriating ones when the need arises. It's one of my keys to better living.

Ahahah! Took me a minute to catch the crime. Beauty.

I had a cassette of Style Council Home & Abroad -- a collection of live performances. I think I wore it out, but I recently replaced it on CD. I also found some Blow Monkeys who had a pleasantly similar though breathier sound.
