The project I was working on that I didn't want to talk about until it was done is DONE! I think I annoyed hubby because I wouldn't even tell him what I was doing, but the tactic works so I may employ it again.
Anyhoooo, Haiku Miscellany is a collection of 25 haiku poems acompanying 25 photos of 25 of my creations from Creative Miscellany. It's available through Lulu.com in print or as a download.
Next on the to-do list: Craft Market this weekend, followed by spring break, then I can set up my Zibbet shop!

It's been a while since I posted about my new "allotments of time" plan but I think it is sort-of working. It's not fool-proof -- I do skip nights and sometimes work on the "wrong" stuff on a given night, but I do feel like there is more balance. Good example, last night I realized I was just wasting time so I looked over at my list of what I should be doing on a Wednesday. Ah, storefront maintenance. Good, I had been thinking of making a new calendar or two, might as well get that going.
It meant staying up a little late but I finished my Views of Victoria 2010 by just after midnight. And then I stayed up even later to finish watching Fight Club on cable. Sigh.
Anyway, the calendar is available and now I am thinking of making a Campus Rabbit calendar and maybe others too (flowers? BC in general? Vegetable patches of Victoria?). Let me know what you'd like to see and whether the price seems acceptable, considering it's print-on-demand.

Tangents *can* be productive...
I have issues with Mondays... but... I'm trying to ignore them.
This weekend, I puttered away at redesigning my "brain"... my old personal site. It's not ready for prime time just yet (though you are welcome to go look at the old, stale version) because in the midst of it I got distracted and managed to do a bunch of other things:
I cleared out one of our VHS cupboards to use for computer/office storage which had been under the coffee table... and that meant there was room to store the scanner, which I pulled out and used to scan a bunch of "archival" photos. Then I realized that our scanner sucks. Sigh.
Anyway, as a result of that, I also got kiddo to help thin her kids videos and we pulled out a few more titles we have replaced with DVDs, and now they are up for grabs... though I don't know many people who still watch VHS movies.
I also, finally, decided to adjust and release my Views of Victoria calendar on Lulu. Since they have not yet adjusted the Canadian holidays, and I don't like the way they lump Christmas in with religious holidays (yes I know it's a Christian holiday, but I don't want all the other "feast of" days and so on to clutter up the calendar and, yes, they do look like clutter to me), I just left it without any special days noted; people can add whatever they want, up to and including the "Feast of Maximum Occupancy."
Now I have a very full week of work ahead... so off I go...

A while back, I discovered Lulu.com and a couple of weeks ago, I signed up.
Tonight, I opened "my store" with some stock/royalty-free photos.
I like that I have more control, including setting the price as I see fit, and that Lulu takes a reasonable percentage (unlike the other stock photography sites I have tried... that take a HUGE cut after making me wait several days for authorization of each photo, rejecting about third of what I upload). I expect to upload other content in the coming months... and I will let you know how it all works out.
