Me Me Meme

This meme is pretty cool, and elicits reader feedback, something which all our egos can use! (Meme fromWest Coast Girl, who took it from Eve.)

1. Recommend to me:
a. a movie.
b. a book.
c. a musical artist, song, or album.
d. an artist (contemporary, manga, us comic, historical, whatever).

2. Ask me three questions, anything you want, and I'll fess up.

4 comments:

  1. Movie - House of Games
Book - Master and Margarita (Bulgakov)
Music - Demonoid's "Riders of the Apocalypse"
Artist - WTF? That's some pussy shit

    My 3 Questions
    1. Corduroy or pleather?
    2. John D. MacDonald or Rousseau?
    3. People or ideas?

  2. Chloe:

    1. Alice (as in Cooper. Heheh.)
    2. One of the many cookie recipes I use -- Oatmeal, Shortbread or Chocolate Chip.
    3. If I'm heading up that way, sure. Or I could mail you a care package. :)

    Stallionforce:
    1. Corduroy on furniture; pleather on flesh.
    2. Neither, actually. (But if forced, MacDonald; Rousseau is a sissy.)
    3. Ideas; they are easier to manage.

  3. Movie - "Play" from the Beckett on Film series. Truly brilliant; I think I watched the whole thing with my mouth hanging open.

Book - "Perfume" by Patrick Suskind. Dark, rich, fragrant and odd.

Music - Dirty Three. Late night, bottle of rough red wine and D3... perfect.

Artist - Andy Goldsworthy. Intelligent, exquisitely crafted and beautiful. All I ask for in artwork, really.

    Questions
    1. What other names did you consider for your daughter?
    2. How much time do you spend in front of a computer per day?
    3. How did you and hubby meet?

  4. Suzette:
    1. We decided on the girl's name immediately -- she is actually named for two of our grandmothers. Had she been a boy his name would have been Sinclair.
    2. A lot. Anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours during the morning, and most of my workday (about 5 or 6 hours worth) in the evenings.
    3. We were set up (both blindly); we were introduced at a Medieval re-enactment dinner.
